A few weeks ago the dirt road that comes out of Baldasseria (southernmost point of the municipality of Udine) and leads in the direction of Pradamano, belonging to the official route of the Alpe Adria cycle route, was reopened to traffic.

Before this intervention, this stretch of road was subject to frequent flooding after thunderstorms or in the wettest periods of the year.

Some revelers, a few years ago, even placed a boat there, to symbolically ferry cycle tourists on the imposing puddle often present at this point.

Fortunately, the works, which lasted a few months, did not cause major problems for cyclists who travel the Alpe Adria cycle path.

These were carried out in the winter period and during the periods of restrictions due to the pandemic, i.e. with a limited passage of cycle tourists.

On the other hand, it is unfortunate to see that the hedges and trees on the side of the road have not been restored (except for the mulberry trees replanted a short distance away).
