The Friuli Venezia Giulia region has defined 10 cycle routes of regional interest which are under construction. The project, called ReCIR, plans to create a network of safe and pleasant cycle paths to travel in order to promote the use of bicycles not only for tourism but also to encourage sustainable mobility.
The Italian part of the Alpe Adria cycle route is the first of these cycle routes (FVG 1) while on the coast we find the FVG 2 (Adriatic Sea cycle route) shared with the international Adria Bike and Eurovelo 8 (Mediterranean cycle routes). In the following pages you will find information on these routes and also on other minor cycle paths.
